I just picked up the January issue of Town & Country.
The story on Dorian Leigh has given me chills.
The world's original supermodel, Leigh is best remembered as the inspiration for
Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's.
She graced the cover of every major fashion magazine of its time and became the first face of Revlon.
Here are some of the stunning pictures taken of her throughout the years, courtesy of T&C.
The photography is just so divinely pretty, as is she.
And speaking of gorgeous magazine spreads, have a look at this one.
I'm a proud mommy!

ReplyDeleteTown & Country has gotten so much better! Your little girl is adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh, she is so adorable. Both my husband and mom are redheads so they hold a special place in my heart. Little Henry is strawberry blonde and we hope getting redder by the day! I love that her name is Scarlett!
ReplyDeleteAre those pics of two of your kiddos? It looks to be the cover and inside pages of the same issue. If so, they're adorable! And the red hair is darling. You should be proud momma ;)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Momma! She is so cute! Lots of work though! My daughter was an extra in a Disney movie last year and it was a proud moment in our house as well {but the time spent was ridiculous - we haven't pursued it further}

Your daughter is adorable! I'm partial to redheads. Mine is 20 years old now.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! I was so excited when I got the magazine- seeing your little one in print is pretty cool and she loves doing it so it's lots of fun...but as Barabara said, it is a lot of work- we have to travel downtown at least once a week, which makes for a lot of juggling with work, school, childcare etc. but she loves it so we will see.
ReplyDeleteDanielle, thanks so much for the feature on you blog- such a nice surpirse!!!
Tammy and Emma...I love the redeads too:)
Thanks for your sweet comments everyone! xo
Wow. What a cuite.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Miss Dorian? I'm guessing not good.
Bromeliad- thanks! Apparently Miss Leigh lived to 91 but was a very sad and lonely person throughout her life- the article was a great read and I adored this issue of T&C as a whole- the front cover dress was to die for good.
ReplyDeleteChristine - a little late here but have to say Scarlett is a little doll and she looks identical to you!
ReplyDeleteCatching up...She is BEAUTIFUL!! I know how proud you must be. And I LOVE the new look of your blog!! Maybe one of these days I will get around to updating mine. Thanks for sharing who you used!! Got it saved in my favs!!
ReplyDeleteI just found this. Amazing, Christine! Scarlett is so lovely and expressive.
