Wednesday Wallpaper- Spotlight Hanna Werning

Chances are if you have been to IKEA, you have seen a pattern design by Hanna Werning.  In addition to running her own company called Spring Street Studio (located in Stockholm,) she also works as an independent designer; her prints can be seen from IKEA to Anna Sui and Dagmar.  Spotlighted today, is her AnimalFlowers wallpaper, which can be purchased directly through her store and is sold in individual sheets so that it can be used as framed art or wallpaper.

My favourite print is the first one on the left, which reminds me very much of Josef Frank's Paradise pattern;  it definitely has the same feel but seems distinctly more feminine, which I really like.  Here it is used as wallpaper.

I love that the patterns are whimsical and bold but still peaceful; they seem quietly charming.  Paired with modern furniture (as above,) the look is effortlessly cool.
