I just got back from the One of a Kind Show.
There were so many talented artisans under one roof.
And pretty things were eveywhere.
Here's a little tour of the handmade goodies I loved most.
{PS- loved these!}
{PS- I bought the hounds tooth tea towel}
{PS- these aren't photographs- they're charcoal sketches- amazing}
{PS- these are all made from recycled sweaters- so adorable}
{I want these long john/pantaloons/adorable things}
{PSS- I want these cashmere underwear in my stocking too}
{PS- I bought this for the playroom}
Charlene Serdan Photography
{PS- these were my pick for the most adorable thing at the show}
{PS- these light boxes are soooo pretty- definitely on my wish list}
judy black
{PS- eyeing the sweatshirt for my daughter- she would LOVE it}
{PS- this artist wins the prize for wittiest name/idea- not made in china china- brilliant}
I loved every second of the show and hope to make a second trip there later in the week.
The collective creativity and beautiful artistry was blissfully inspiring.
Thanks One of a Kind!
PS- thank you also to the organizers of the media breakfast and to the George Brown Chef school for a lovely meal- such a treat!
PSS- thanks to my blogging girls for making the event an even lovelier experience.
Here's a few pics of the event.
{not entirely sure why I didn't take a shot with actual people in it but anyhoo}
If you are in the Toronto area, be sure to check out this year's show.
So worth a trip to the city.

I love all of your finds and the pillow you bought. Thought for sure those charcoal sketches were photos - I must have one. And that settee is beautiful - I must have one of these two. I'm going to check my Lotto tickets to see if I won last night!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to go tomorrow!
Hey Christine,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you found quite a few fabulous finds!!! Can't wait to go tomorrow and find my own treasures!!
See you soon!!
Christine
Great review Christine! I think we have very similar tastes because I love everything you loved! Can't wait to go back!
ReplyDeleteWOW - you're fast! Great photographs and rundown of the show. It was a pleasure to spend the morning with you. Sorry, that we didn't meet up in the second half of the show. I got distracted talking to Jennifer from Rambling Renovators among others and then hightailed it out of there to the Virginia Johnson sample sale!
ReplyDeleteAwesome finds! I love the Erin Vincent art.
ReplyDeleteLove the vintage suitcases and the paintings of the sofa and mason jars (the use of negative space is great)!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing - I can't get to the show this year, this was a great insider perspective.

What a treat to be able to attend to something like this. I enjoyed looking at every picture. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat. We have something similar here in Vancouver called the Circle Craft Fair. i didn't go this year because I had the flu but I love original handmade one of a kind items to be had.
ReplyDeleteThe painting of the settee is so serene. Love the pillows by Fluf as well!
Wish Toronto wasn't so far, seems the hobnobbing with fellow bloggers is happening over there!
What a great day! :) I was glad I got to spend it with you... and my cute little owl got the thumbs up from B! (hoorah!) Loved those longjohns too... Hope to see you again soon!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great review of the show - I feel like I was there. Sounds like you had a great time with all the crew! Hope to see you again soon.
ReplyDeleteGreat review Christine! The show was great, as was the company!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Chicago and we'll chat soon!
xo
Great recap Christine! Funny how we all sort of noticed the same booths. It was so great seeing some bloggers again and the shopping was pretty fantastic too.
ReplyDeleteLove all that you showed us! I do love the settee painting too!
