It is pretty much finished, with the exception of curtains and I hope to wallpaper the ceiling; or maybe the walls and ceiling. I designed the fabric for the curtains at Spoonflower (love this website and will be doing an entire post on them soon.) My eldest daugther had taken this picture and because the image looked like an 'm' (my son is named Malcolm,) I used it to create the fabric below.
The wallpaper for the ceiling is by Hygge and West and is called Daydream- love!
I hope to post some inspirational children's rooms all this week starting with pictures of my favourite chic nurseries- along with my ideas for a sweet baby girl's abode:)

I need some tips! Poor Frankie has a weird collection of ikea stuff with lots of bags and boxes of clothes too small and too big for her stuffed under and behind her cot...you'd be horrified! mzp x
ReplyDeleteWill do! I am doing kids' room posts all week- I would love to design a room for her if you like- just give me some budget/colour parameters and I will put something together:)

ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of moving my 3 kids rooms around which kind of makes for re-doing 3 rooms on a slower pace. Do you have your other kids rooms posted?
Alex- Thanks to you for letting me know it was Week of the Child:) Your school is always so on top of everything- Scarlett is soooo happy to be back and is absolutely loving it!
ReplyDeletela la Lovely- Thanks for the kind words:) I am posting kids related topics all week- tomorrow will be my top wallpaper choices for kids' rooms. I also hope to do boy's and girl's room design boards (one of each,) inspiration shots for big kids rooms and playrooms, fabric options and shopping quide to some of my favourite kids decor items- that's the plan anyways:) I hope that helps and good luck with the rooms; I'd be happy to put together some idea boards for you anytime- I love doing them!
i love the room! the painting is awesome. can i ask who the artist is? thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Leah,
ReplyDeleteThe painting was a large stretched canvas photograph from IKEA that I painted over with blue paint- a little DIY project:) Thanks for stopping by!
Christine I have been meaning to ask you if the rug is by Jonathan Adler. I would love a rug like this, but the Adler one isn't in my budget at this time. Just wondering if you have any sources for a rug like this at a budget-friendly price. Thank you!
