A New Project #projectlivingdining

Happy almost weekend friends.

I've got a few updates of sorts to share so getting right to it....

1. #projectbaby is moving along- the wall treatment and crown molding have been installed and today, the paint happens...I also ordered lighting, some fabulous artwork and a daybed so things are trucking right along...I just hope bambino holds out long enough to get it all done before he arrives.

2. I started work on a new e-design project...we'll call it #projectlivingdining since it involves one very large combo room.

Here are the befores...

Note the pair of Ventana chandys...delish.

Also, my client just sent me photos of a set of amazing vintage chairs she just bought for literally almost nothing...

...we're working on a plan for them...thinking faux ostrich will be involved.

And speaking of chairs, a pair of these freebie metal goodies are also going to happen...and PS, they'll be transformed with a little gold leafing or paint and some leopard linen...

...this pair of vintage cane pretties will also make an appearance in the room...they'll be painted black and upholstered in white something or other..

And now, the boards...I presented this first round...

...and after review...made a few changes to make the design slightly more feminine...client also requested more closed storage in the dining room and a few other changes, which brought us to these...

After review of these guys, we've decided officially on the wall colour (BM Pale Smoke), finish for the living room chairs, the sofa, pillows, and artwork.

Client and I discussed some potential layout changes and something different for the floor...we also changed out some pieces for more budget friendly alternatives...as of now, we're pretty set on this...

...and I sort of love it.

As for the dining room, we still have 2 storage pieces to locate (a credenza and some sort of china cabinet)...thinking vintage on that front.

3. I just figured out a few days ago that I've been nominated on Apartment Therapy for Best Home Design Blog- woooohooo!!!

4. I just finished a little spring preview board for my fabulous sponsor

5. And finally, don't forget to enter my Bright Box giveaway...

I'll be drawing for the winner on Sunday.
