As often happens, I was working on a post for this morning and got gorgeously distracted by a stunning designer portfolio.
So...I changed gears a little and am pretty excited to share with you the amazing work of
Um...yah...dying over this.
A few points to note/reasons why I'm loosing my mind over this portfolio:
1. the gratuitous use of gold
Anyone who loves brass as much as I do, is aces in my books...aces.
PS...I cried last night when Sarah Richardson found a stunning brass desk for $150 and proceeded to get rid of the gold- literally...tears in my eyes.
2. the amazeballs wallpaper
I need NEEEEEEEEEDDDDD that brown floral.
3. the pattern play
Florals in love with ikats...hell yes.
4. the vintage chandys that grace every room
I don't think I love much of anything more than a brass Venini.
5. the brass animals everywhere
Adore a gold elephant.
6. the mix of vintage and modern
Ms. Dawson's blending skills are high...she's totes a decor mixologist.
And....most importantly....
7. the fact that someone besides me embraces the idea of painting living room walls pink
She completely and totally had me at hello with that first room- the walls are the perfect shade of rose.
And PS, I want to repaint my living room to a warmer and brighter pink...thinking I want the one she used.
Oh and see those brass curtain rods...that's what mine look like only here's the greatest news....mine run the entire length of my living room wall...swear to god...I love my curtain rods as much as I love any single other thing in my house...and that includes the marble in the kitchen so yes...LOVE the wall poles...that sounds dirty.
So, there you have it.
Portfolio heaven in my books.
You can see more here.

Seriously fabulous, so rich and layered. I can see how you'd get distracted! Janell
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! And that's a word I rarely use. Great colors, patterns, old and modern...I want to move in. Funny enough I'm in the midst of painting my office pink and already have that mirror! I decided I needed a purely feminine work place.
ReplyDeleteso gorgeous!! that first space is my fave..pink walls, white crown molding, charcoal curtains, brass rods.. want it!!

Thanks for sharing, but they are not my style..I prefer modern, monochromatic but with happy touches, minimalist but at the same time, exquisite style!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I love that wallpaper!
ReplyDeleteOH.MY. thank you for sharing! that living room, the wallpaper, the gold...all of it is breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteThe second I saw the living room I thought it looked like you. Please do share your source for these awesome gold curtain rods, not that I could afford them. But I've been looking for some pretty curtains rods and have come up empty. I would love some lucite ones too but they are very $$!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm a lover of wall poles, too! Not to worry there! :) I'm definitely in love with the spaces here... <3
ReplyDeleteMuch Love,
Trissta
agree with everything you said.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites would be the elephants and Pierre Frey paper.
Guh so jealous of your drapery rods. I wanted to do that exact thing in the nursery but was having a hard time finding it!
ReplyDeleteJust in love with photo #3. The colors, graphic rug, and the fireplace make for a great space!
ReplyDeleteThe gold and brass is what struck me as well- I love, love, LOVE it!...and in those first couple of images- my heart was beating a little quicker!
ReplyDeleteCan I first just say, why do people insist on leaving snarky comments under "anonymous"??? Can't they keep their unhappiness to themselves??? This is absolutely fabulous and I feel bad for people who have to go with monochromatic because they have no imagination...hehehe...I just left that last comment so I could be snarky under my *OWN* name (c:
ReplyDelete8. The composition of that photo that so beautifully shows off the archways in that home. Love it!
ReplyDeleteYou seriously find the best portfolios!!!!!!
i'm in love with the rug in the first photo! amazing!!
ReplyDeleteYes. Fabulous! Love the orangy-red velvet chairs and sofa. I am SO with you on SR ruining that amazing brass-based desk last night. Super annoying.
ReplyDeleteAgree, agree, agree! Thank you for sharing, many of these photos have in my files and on my Pinterest before but I had no idea who the designer was. It is great to be able to look through her portfolio now and see all of her work!
