I'm SO excited to tell you about my newest design project.
I've been hired to help transform the home belonging to one of my all time FAVOURITE vintage stores, Feelinvintage.
That's right...with an incredible supply of vintage nirvana to pull from...
...I get to take one room at a time and turn it into an exhibition of this stores amazing inventory.
To start, I've been assigned the teeange son's room.
Right now, the space looks like this...
Please note a few things:
1. My clients just moved in and this is how the room looked when they got there...aside from the panelled wall behind the bed...they added that and we're going to make it even more fabulous.
2. The vintage brass bed, ridiculously good side tables, arrow lamps and super rad fish will be staying...so will the waterfall benches...
I mean really...how lucky am I?
I get to source vintage to my hearts content and if I can find it on 1st Dibs, my client either already it or can find it locally for 1/10th the price.
Ridiculously fun!
So, with all of this to play with, I've put this together...
...with these notes...
1. Walls will be painted in high gloss brown, after we apply a grid of quarter round like middle above...the moulding will go on the ceiling like as seen bottom right...walls with either be done in F&B Tanner's Brown or BM Mink and the ceiling will be in BM White Dove.
2. Floors will be carpeted wall to wall...hopefully in Stark Antelope.
3. We'll use green malacite fabric for curtain panels and a cool black/white plaid on a new (vintage) Eames lounger.
4. The side tables will get a new coat of BM Revere Pewter and will sit beside a cobalt campaign dresser.
5. Some great art from Jenny Andrews Anderson and a stained glass piece thanks to Etsy.
6. Waterfalls will be done in emerald velvet and the bed will get a pair of Timorous Beasties Iguana pillows.
And that's pretty much that.
I literally can't wait to see this one come together...and next up, the foyer...more fun to come:)
