My absolute favourite feature was the home of designer Eileen Kathryn Boyd.
According the article, Boyd wanted each room to be like an art installation.
She used a plate of magenta, cerulean blue, and spring green.
Boyd says she achieved her look by using unexpected colours, furnishings, and artwork.
I simply adore the look of the home she has created.
{and PS, The Manuel Canovas wallpaper in the kitchen makes me crazy}
Here's the spread.
After seeing her Boyd's home in Lonny, I wanted to have a look at her portfolio.
I think her home definitely works to highlight her design sensibilities.
One can see the same use of bold colour and unexpected elements in her professional work.
I love Boyd's use of fabulous pattern (hello La Fiorentina and Asuka wallpaper) and those blue velvet curtain panels are incredible- I've never seen anything like them.
I also adore her propensity towards saturated colour.
If you look at Pantone's entire colour story for 2011, she is certainly right on trend.
A definite talent, Boyd is a designer with an approach I find very exciting.
Her spaces don't seem overly styled but are dynamic and approachable.
Effortlessly stylish.
