I just discovered this artist and am in awe of her work.
Ms. Wachob works with two mediums...tattoo ink and paint.
Her work 'blurs the lines between fine art and body art'.
Each piece is evocative and filled with spirit.
Here's a look at her canvas portfolio.
Would die a happy lady for any of these pieces.
I love their female perspective, bold colour and storied composition.
And now, a small sampling of Amanda's tattoo portfolio.
I'm seriously thinking of taking a trip to NYC.
Can a tattoo be a Christmas wish item because if so, I'll take one please.
The abstracts are so different from anything I've seen before and her use of colour is inspired.
Stunning artwork.

ReplyDeleteI love that she does art and tattoos. I've never seen any body art like that. The detail and color is amazing, they look so perfect. I wonder if she is expensive? Probably should be with work like that! i would never guess you for a tattoo girl, what would you get?

incredible tattoos! I love the realistic bird (chickadee?) one. I'm not a tattoo gal, myself, but these are pretty impressive!
ReplyDeleteBrandi- I'm not usually- love them on other people but have never found anything that I would want enough to have it permanently on me- I have always considered three birds for each of my kids and these ones by Amanda are making me consider again- we'll see...her work is incredible.
ReplyDeleteHallie- thanks! There are still a ton of things I want to do, starting with the kitchen and hallway chairs but am happy with where it is so far. Thanks for update re: necklace- so excited for it to arrive:)

The art is so beautiful - I feel like you could stare at each piece for hours and keep seeing something new.
