Baby, Baby, Baby Nursery - Alison of Alison Giese Interiors

Happy days are here again...it's baby room style time...

...and today I feel mucho lucky to have the very talented...

alison giese Interiors

...visiting.

Now I've loooong time been a fan of Alison's fresh eclectic style and I just knew she'd pull something together that was both totally unexpected but classic all at the same time.

When I first spied the board below, my mind started racing with happy thoughts of lacquered green walls and where (since I've already painted the nursery) in heck I could incorporate them into my home...Alison's vision is VERY much in keeping with what I tend to gravitate towards and as I guessed would happen, she totally inspired me with her mad mad skills.

Enjoy mother lovers.

.......

Hello!  Alison from Alison Giese Interiors here.  I have to admit, it was a tad intimidating to design a nursery for Lady Christine, or, should I say Master Bijou, as his Mum's style meter is off the charts! I've only designed nurseries for baby girls, so this was an Über fun departure.  I went for a good mix of trad and modern that is signature B&B, and threw in the kind of drama that would make this nursery a stand-out in its 'hood.

Thank you, Christine, for letting me play (makes me think about trying for a boy!;)

.......

See...I told you.

She had me at hello with that cheetah of course and I've already spoken about the green like honey grass walls...sort of want to lick those...and don't get me started on that juicy rocker...goodness me it's purdy.

A giant thanks to Ms Alison for doing what I knew she would...totally knocking the socks I never wear off that is.

And speaking of accessories flying away, I've got a sneak peek of the little photo session I had last week with the insanely talented (and I do mean insanely- completely in awe of what this woman can do with a camera) Jodi Renee.

I've already posted it around the media webs but thought it needed to go here as well simply because I'm SO FARKING IN LOVE WITH IT...who would have guessed that a maternity photo would literally be my favourite 'me' one of all mother hubbard time.

Jodi perfectly captured what I wanted to...the sweet and beautiful quiet that is pregnancy...it's a time I treasure beyond words and truly, feel at my absolute best...to have this to remember for always how joyous I feel about the sweet bundle I haven't even met yet, well let's just say it's beyond special to me...feeling very, very lucky.

{PS...as I write this, I have Jodi's website open and the song she has playing 'I will be the one who loves you the most' has my eyes literally streaming with happy, happy tears...so perfect:}

And with that, I'm off to yet another weigh in/ultrasound this morning...wish me luck- I have a feeling the sugar police are going to be none too happy with yours truly...after loosing a few pounds from the flu plague, I've packed them back on in good time- thinking Baby J is going to be tipping the scales at almost 7 pounds already and yes, my legs are crossing as I type;)

Oh and how could I almost forget...wishing you all a VERY happy love day...

As per the song I've not re-played at least 5 times...love you the most.

  9. Love the nursery! And, seriously, your maternity picture is so gorgeous and touching, it made me cry! I had never really considered taking pregnancy pics, but I also don't think I've ever seen a picture that truly captures it so beautifully. I know when Baby j grows up he will treasure that photo. So amazing!
