Where Have I Been?

I woke up this morning planning a totally different post and then I accidentally made a few sublime discoveries...perhaps you know of all of the things I'm about to show you but I was in the dark until 7:30 EST.

It all started when I opened up my Twitter feed and had a lovely message from Trissta, writer of the fabulous blog Living on the Chic...I clicked over to browse though her Chic Tips and wowzers....a TON of amazeballs ideas are featured so you should definitely go and gander at that goodness.

In particular, I hit on one right off the bat that literally blew my mind...have you seen/heard of....

GORGEOUS SHINY THINGS

For one thing, this is the brilliant home of the Danika...the genius who with her partner Cheryle,  came up with these...

aka O'verlays...aka the shit.

Besides inventing these brilliant things, Danika is also an interior designer...but...it's something else that's making my heart race.
Observe...

The part that will throw you over the edge, as it did me, is that all of these photos involve those three letters we all know and love...DIY..yes...the malachite lamp, the orange trellis wallpaper, the bookshelves/console, the marble counter/back splash, the chinoiserie bliss and the Beni rug...all done with paint and/or O'verylays y'all...holy Mother of all that is good and holy...can you believe that shit?
I can't.
But it's true.
Danika did this all with bloody paint.
Consider me duly impressed.

After browsing through her blog with my jaw on my lap, I made the second discovery....a link to the portfolio of designer's Farrow and Cobb...

Heaven...adoring the artwork and subtle glamour...oh and the lucite chairs directly above...and that mirrored fireplace- it reminds me of something else I love ::kitchenwhispers::

So there you have it...two blogs and a portfolio I only just discovered this morning....all very sparkly.

In other news, I have wallpaper going up today in my maison...finishing up the hallway finally.

And I'm going on a tour of a very special house- more about that soon and most importantly, my Tulip has her first official day of SK today...cue balling mommy.
