Morning.
It's Friday...this makes me happy...though not as blissful as these two things:
1. Cleaning ladies...I just got one- she was here yesterday for 6 hours and my house...my god- it's glorious...Magda (my lady) will now be my best friend and is coming twice a month to make me a much nicer person.
2. March...baby officially managed to stay put through my least favourite month of the year and will be born in March- soooo happy about this...my family has like 5 zillion birthdays in February and I don't know- just happy it's a new month and officially less than 2 weeks until showtime.
On that note, the nursery is finally almost done.
I hung up some art last night (and by me, I mean the husband) and now, we're just waiting on the pendant light and daybed to arrive.
Here are some early morning/very grainy ipad shots of the deal...
The Wombat and Woodle prints are making me soooo happy...so much so, that I've commissioned my birth announcements from there as well- can't wait.
Another new addition to the room is the bunny bunting that's presently strung on the crib (and yes, I'll move it when baby is old enough to move himself)...it came from one of my Etsy Extraordinary faves of the week so let's get to that...

This week, we're focusing on textile/tactile related decor goodness...

So in love with my bunny garland...

...it's made of wool and twine and just all kinds of adorable.
The shop has a bunch of other delights to pick from too...

Cute, cute.
2. Yarning Made

This Victoria, BC based shop makes the most deliciously modern/graphic knit goods for babies EVER.
I've just placed an order for this guy...

...and would pretty much take one of each if I could...

Soooooooo good.
3. Fleur Lux

She had me at hello with the shop name...had bambino been a girl, Fleur was very high on the list.
Anyhoo...baby boy is getting this mobile fabulousity over his crib...

...only his will be done in cream fringe and strung on driftwood.
It was hard to say no to the peach though...just look at it...

Just almost too pretty to take right?
OBSESSED with this one.
Next week, I'll show you some of my babies favourite clothing shops.
Oh but before I go...the Great Sconce Debate.
Right now, these are in first place...

...followed closely by these...

...the brass version of the above is also in the mix but black seems to be a head in the vote count.
I'm leaning towards the second pair...final thoughts?

room is looking UNbelievable babes! - and i'll be checking all those etsy sites now!
That room and those etsy finds. Love love. And honestly I love both light choices!
the nursery is beautiful & can't wait to see more! love both lighting choices, but #2 above is my fave.
I would love to come take a peaceful snooze in that lovely nursery! The garland is all sorts of amazing and will hopefully be mine soon!
I am lusting over that nursery? And those mobiles ? Divine! Yes, glad for a march baby, even if I just sneaked by! I had a cleaning lady up until last few weeks....we've put her on hold during renos but it was the best money we spent. You don't need that added stress with a newborn to care for
Those modern knits from Victoria are gorgeous! My vote is #2.
Good for you, I could never manage without my cleaning lady! Love the baby's room, can't wait to see your baby clothes stores, and liking the second light choice. everything look awesome!!
your nursery is to DIE for! and march babies are the best :)
OK the nursery is coming together sooo great! Exactly as I would want it to look as well.
I think I'm in the minority, cuz I say brass sconces all the way...
the nursery is looking so great.... can i move in?! hope you are hanging in there!

Pretty! I just hope you end up having the only baby in history that doesn't get puke and poop all over that rug and sheep, because they look really difficult to clean! Let me guess... this is your first baby?
Love the room!!! Looks SO good Christine! And I think my sconce pick is the second as well. Happy weekend!! xo
I so love that nursery, so serene and calm! Lucky baby!
Those mushrooms are ridic. Where did you find those little gems? Who makes them? I must have! The nursery looks amazing BTW.

Definitely no. 1!
Yay for T-2 weeks! I love the light fixture of #2 - think those sconces balance the room more. And i'm looking at using the same basket weave for my bathroom reno floor. AND your nursery is beyond fabulous. Soothing yet completely fashionable. I actually don't know how you do it.
The nursery is STUNNING!! So tranquil and cozy. Love every detail!
