Project Kitchen Gorgeous and the Closet Doors

I was stuck in bed all day with the some kind of sickness yesterday and am still feeling rather gross so a short and sweet post today.

If you have been following along on Twitter, Meredith and I have been busy exchanging tweets about the kitchen reno and we've hashtaged the discussions #projectkitchengorgeous.
If you'd like to follow along with our design chat, that's where you'll find us.

For now, I promised an update on the marble selection process so here's a little look at what I say on Saturday.

I've decided to keep the selection a secret for now but I can tell you that one of these 5 selections is going to make it's way into my kitchen.

Any guesses?

After our trip to the marble store, we headed to Lee Valley to pick up my closet door knockers.

Ta da...

Roar.

Absolutely gorgeous, of course. As for my guess for the kitchen counters... I love the quartz like quality of 1, and the drama of 2. Your knockers (haha) are gorgeous! Hope you're feeling better. xo

Omg... I have a bunch of those lion knockers in a box somewhere! Took them off of a dresser that I refinished for Beckett's nursery!

Love your lion heads! I was hoping to switch out my regular ring pulls for lion ring pulls, but I wasn't happy with the quality of the ones I ordered. (Richileu) Maybe I'll check out Lee Valley.

Hope you are feeling better!

Lovely! So glad you're going with the marble! I just found out we'll be moving in the next 6 months, so I'm looking for houses with really ugly, outdated kitchens so that I can remodel one again!!!! :)

Marble tease. That's cruel ;) But I DO LOVE those knockers. Woohooo.

You picked out some really gorgeous slabs. Can't wait to see which one you chose. So much fun!

Fran said...

Roar is right!! Love them!! Ugh - I can't believe your keeping the marble selection a secret!! I'll just have to wait patiently!! :)

Dane said...

I love the flowing movement of the second slab! My second fav is the 3rd slab. It's movement is not as feminine and glam as my first pick though. I think you have selected the 2nd slab.

If you do go for the more expensive marble (oh, please do!!) why not rough in the wine fridge..there was something else you where going to have to give up..so that when you have the cash you can add them? Put a cabinet door over the hole where the wine fridge should be until...it is. Sorry, I've got a migraine so my thought process is a bit fractured like the 3rd slab rather than flowing like the second. Ha!

I can not wait to see the finished kitchen!
