There's something about the new year that makes everyone want a fresh start...that and a little glamour.
For whatever reason, black and white represents both for me.
Always chic, the juxtaposition of the two opposites breathes a sense of drama and renewal into a space.
In keeping with wallpaper day, here's a little mixed bag of sexy black and white.

Beautiful as always, my dear. Love that "Sum" painting.
love these photos! black and white always has such beautiful contrast.
I'm such a fan of black and white...chic and sophisticated!!
I took a look at the DVF Spring Collection soon to arrive in stores--and came to the same conclusion. A couple of wrap dresses in bold combinations of white and black will help me start the new year right. xo
Nothing is more beautiful, classic and timeless than black and white...great images. Thanks for the sweet comment about the nursery!
Happy New Year

Very dramatic!
gorgeous!! so much goodness.
florence broadhurst was such a talented artist! She blows me away.
Plus... the low modern tub and black cowhide... swoon! saving that one for the files.
I don't think I can ever get enough black and white! The femme fatale picture is giving me an idea for some homemade art!!! I also love the pic with stripes on the door and how they continued onto the moulding around, so chic! Great post!
Love the black and white. Trying to decide on a wallpaper for the powder room. I like the black and gold of the last photo too.
Your images are amazing ... once again. The dining room with the copper light fixture is my favorite! Who knew black and white could look so warm ...

I'm dying over that 'fishnets' wallpaper. Love it!
So good! I'm dying over your pink holiday decor.. you my dear have amazing style, xoxo
Very chic!
I love black and white decor. Most of my house is decorated like that, I do have pops of red {because I have always loved red} Even my wardrobe is mostly black and white. I love that comb because they serve as a neutral backdrop for hints of colour that can be changed.
I am thinking of painting my son's room walls an inky-almost black. We are switching rooms around and he wants dark blue, I think I am going to try it!
everything is gorgeous!! I love both mirrors..and that black bathroom is incredible! xoxo

I am so obsessed with this post because I am super into black and white right now! So gorgeous!
